21 Damn Early Days - Day 3
IN BED BY 9:08PM. UP AT 4:37AM.
DAY 3 OF 21 DAMN EARLY DAYS TAUGHT ME SLEEP MATTERS... A LOT
So, today I learned something really important: sleep makes a difference. A big difference. Compared to yesterday's 6 and a half hours, today's 7 and a half hours changed everything. I had full energy from the moment I got out of bed until now and my moods been way better. Unfortunately, it's a double-edged sword... it's 9:50PM and I'm still awake.
I've also realized I want to switch up my early morning straight-to-the-gym routine. As amazing as they've been and as much as I love having an empty gym at 5:00AM, I want to try something else. I'm going to spend the first 90 minutes of my day working on the hardest stuff I have to do. This is based on Robin Sharma's 90/90/1 Rule. It’s simple, it's productive and it's feasible. I'll have no distractions and should be able to get a lot of quality work done. After that, I can take a break, head to the gym and come back with a clear mind and the hardest parts of my day behind me.
Any 6AM gym partners?
